2019: Welcome to Monday Mantras
As we start 2019, I have a good feeling about this year. Many people I talk to have the same feeling. This is the time where people want to focus on some part of their life and make it better for them, whether it’s work, family, friends, self-healing, or finding a partner. People seem to be motivated to make a change for the better in 2019.
For me, this is the year to elevate my writing beyond random blogging. I have the motivation to accomplish my personal goals around this creative art and to focus my writing towards inspiring others.
What has helped me transform my life from a desperate and ugly past, is to change my mindset. One of the best ways I’ve done this is to rewire my brain from negative self-talk. I have done a lot of internal chatting, listen to what I say to myself, and work on turning it around towards a more positive outlook on who I am, how I interact with my life.
This has been so helpful for me, to change my inner talk, and be more of an advocate for me, rather than beating myself down for all the bad things in life that happens or have happened in the past. Once I changed how I talked to myself, my life slowly started to shift towards the better.
It’s amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it. You can do anything! ANYTHING! But first, you have to change your inner speak.
This gave me the idea to start a series of weekly personal mantras. These positive affirmations are meant to contemplate where you are right now, and to stir your soul into change.
Each month will be a different focus in life. I’ll start with body and health in January, and from there will change the focus as the month changes. These are short reads, less than one minute long, and I’ll post them on Mondays.
