Thank you! Born in 1966, I am the first of the Gen X-ers. I get grouped in with Boomers ALL THE TIME. I also grew up latch-key, in a single parent household. I learned how to raise myself, because the Boomers weren't doing a good job of it. I learned how to self-soothe without social media, the internet, or selfies, and all it took was riding my bicycle outside and reading a good book.
I saw the birth of MTV, preppie vs. punk rock. I had a crush on John Cusak (I still do). I can relate to The Breakfast Club. I remember every one who was part of the Brat Pack. I'm Gen-X. I carry all of the responsibilities and get none of the credit. That's how I've felt my entire life, why stop now?
