Thank you, Cupcake! I’m lucky. I got out of my cycle by sheer motivation and willpower, without being maimed or killed. Seriously. I’ve healed and even found a wonderful, loving, caring man as a partner. People who meet me now would never believe that I was a victim of abuse, which goes to show that ANYONE can become a victim in the right (or wrong) circumstances.
